On time management Recently, I happened to come across a lecture on "TIME MANAGEMENT". Time, which is equally distributed to all human beings, is an important factor which needs to be well-managed. We all have an invisible relationship with time, whether we are aware of it or not is a different story. Our uneven ways of spending our 24 h time mainly include time for doing useful/responsible work (usually our studies or job), time to have a reconnect with family/friends/society and do accomplish our personal goals of whatever nature and finally our switch off time aka sleeping time. A perfect balance between all three of these is absolutely necessary to have a quality life and we deserve  it. Here are my instantaneous thoughts/experiences: 1 .   Digital well-being   : In fact, for last one year I am researching as a part of my personal goals on how do distractions work, digital well-being and experimenting with clean sleeping habits (I am prone to polyphasic sleep, interru...

The Mohabbath of Black Tea

Sometimes, when I really get infectious by some stray thoughts this is the only quantum of solace. Just get up, make a black tea,sit back, sip it and look around.
Today I came across a book " The Miracle of Mindfulness" , a classic guide to meditation, written by Thich Nhat Hanh.. I liked these lines the most--especially the last line.. “If while washing dishes, we think only of the cup of tea that awaits us, thus hurrying to get the dishes out of the way as if they were a nuisance, then we are not "washing the dishes to wash the dishes." What's more, we are not alive during the time we are washing the dishes. In fact we are completely incapable of realizing the miracle of life while standing at the sink. If we can't wash the dishes, the chances are we won't be able to drink our tea either. While drinking the cup of tea, we will only be thinking of other things, barely aware of the cup in our hands. Thus we are sucked away into the future -and we are incapable of actually living one minute of life.” Its exactly true..Isn't it?
Brihadeeshwara Temple, Thanjavur-- Had a solitary visit  last week. Not a line more than " It's awesome !!"

Happy New Year..

Have you ever thought of what is the reason of the emergence of the inequality that exist between human kind? or Why some communities are brought up in a pool of luxuries while some others are submerged in miseries????Is it because the later said are cursed? Well , either this inequality has a cause or it is purely accidental.                                           What budhists'views in this regard is that this inequality is not hereditory, environmental of the way of "nature and nurture" only , but also KARMA ..Karma simply means the result of our present doings and our own past action.our happiness and misery is solely our own responsibility.Either Hell or Heaven. Karma is the law of moral causation. This is the fundamental doctrine in budhism , which was prevalent in India once before advent of Budha.Neverthless, It was only Budha who took it in todays'form. The theory of Karm...
